Women come to Alpha Women's Resource Center to confirm pregnancy and learn about options available to them regarding their pregnancy. Many women don't fully understand abortion, the types of abortion methods in different stages of pregnancy, or side effects to abortion procedures. Client Advocates assist women through their appointments, from pregnancy testing to ultrasounds, while providing them with the answers regarding options for their pregnancy, including abortion, adoption, and parenting. Our advocates are able to offer factual information, but most of all hope. Hope that can only be found in Christ.
When women are experiencing pregnancy symptoms, Alpha Women's Resource Center provides them a way to confirm pregnancy at no cost to them. Women are provided an opportunity to talk with a medical professional, who performs their pregnancy test and may answer any other questions regarding pregnancy.
After a woman has a confirmation that she is pregnant through a free pregnancy test, Alpha Women's Resource Center is able to provide the woman with a limited ultrasound to see her unborn baby. An ultrasound provides the mother with information regarding gestational age and viability of the baby, which is a starting place to discuss pregnancy options. Statistics state that 80% of women who are able to see their child with an ultrasound, when faced with an unplanned pregnancy, choose life. What a way for a baby to audition for their new mother!
There are so many ways for you to get involved with the medical services at Alpha Women's Resource Center. The Center is always in need of volunteers, such as Client Advocates or Medical professionals (nurses, sonographers), that spend time talking to women about their pregnancy options, conducting pregnancy testing or ultrasounds, providing hope, and showing the love of Christ. If you don't have a few hours per week to volunteer at the Center, you can consider providing Alpha Women's Resource Center with a donation to assist with the cost of pregnancy tests, ultrasound supplies or medical supplies. It may seem so simple . . . but it makes a world of difference to a woman in need.
When a woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy comes through the doors of Alpha Women's Resource Center, she is shown the love and hope of Christ. From trained client advocates to medical staff, the woman is provided with factual information regarding her options for her pregnancy in a confidential environment.
