Life and relationships are tough. There is no shame in getting a little help. Alpha Women's Resource Center is happy to provide counseling, coaching, and support for each crucial moment and relationship in a person's life. All services are hosted at our Jackson, AL location.
A customized series of lessons on topics ranging from prenatal care to child care for children up to age two. A study plan helps parents learn how to raise healthy, happy children, and includes relationship skills, basic household tasks, and financial classes on using a checkbook and getting the most out of grocery dollars. Each person completes a "Getting Acquainted" survey to choose the most helpful classes. For each completed lesson, "mommy money" or "daddy money" is earned and redeemed in the center's Baby Store for diapers, toiletries, clothing, cribs, car seats, and strollers.
Alpha's registered nurse offers a one-day class to moms who are at least 24 weeks pregnant. Topics cover the third trimester through the postpartum period. Mothers are encouraged to bring a partner, and each mother receives an incentive gift after completing the class.
Women of Worth emphasizes character building and making positive changes for a healthy future. Women are guided to see that their true worth does not come from relationships, successes, or beauty, but from Christ. As women attend, they earn money to shop at the Women of Worth Boutique for grooming items, jewelry, and stationery.
