Knowing what a computer is and how to use one is vital to interacting with our ever-changing world, yet many people have never had the training to keep up. Alpha recognizes this need in our clients and offers computer skills training that prepares them to enter the workforce with the skills they need to succeed.

Computer basics

The curriculum starts with the questions many people are embarrassed to ask:

What is a computer?
What does an operating system do?
What is the cloud?
How does email work?
How does the internet work?
How do I become familiar with Microsoft Office tools?

Job success

It then goes beyond basic computer skills to the things that make a job stick:

Writing a cover letter and preparing a resume
Preparing for an interview
Managing time and goals
Workplace etiquette and communication
Becoming a better listener
Resolving workplace conflict
